They are stored on your device either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies). Session cookies are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Permanent cookies remain stored on your end device until you delete them yourself or they are automatically deleted by your web browser.

Cookies may originate from us (first-party cookies) or from third-party companies (so-called third-party cookies). Third-party cookies enable the integration of certain services from third-party companies within websites.

Our website uses technically necessary cookies, which are required for functions on the website, as well as cookies for anonymized data collection for analysis purposes and marketing-relevant cookies, which are used to display personalized content. You can decide for yourself which categories you want to allow. Please note that based on your settings, not all functions of the website may be available.

4. Tracker and Other Tools from Third-Party Providers

We use third-party web analysis and tracking tools on our website. Some of these third-party providers also process your data in the USA. It is important to note that, according to the European Court of Justice, there is currently no adequate level of protection for data transfers to the USA. This may entail various risks about the lawfulness and security of data processing.

As a basis for data processing with recipients based in third countries, so-called standard contractual clauses are used by our third-party providers per Art. 46 (2) and (3) GDPR. Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) are templates provided by the EU Commission and are intended to ensure that your data complies with European data protection standards even if it is processed in third countries, such as the USA. Through these clauses, the third-party providers undertake to comply with the European level of data protection when processing your personal data, even if your data is processed outside the EU. These clauses are based on an implementing decision of the EU Commission. You can find the decision and the corresponding standard contractual clauses at: >> https://eur-lex.europa.eu/eli/dec_impl/2021/914/oj?locale=en. The transfer of your personal data in connection with the use of these services will only take place based on your express consent under Art. 49 para. 1 lit. a GDPR in conjunction with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR.
